Around 150 employers will be in attendance with positions ranging from summer internships to experienced full-time, providing opportunities for nearly anyone’s major and level of expertise. Although it is a Rutgers sponsored event, it is open to everyone who is hoping to land a position in the NJ area.
You’ll only have a short time with any given employer, so it is important to make that it count. Do a bit of research on each company you’re interested in beforehand, preparing a few questions in advance. Not only will you learn what you want to know, but it shows the recruiters that you take this seriously. Here’s a link to the most up to date employer list pdf (updated weekly).
I have highlighted companies of interest in the latest as of 12/29/09. Highlighted List
As far as resumes are concerned, bring a bunch. Some employers accept them, others just say to apply online, but it’s better to be prepared. There is also a place to submit your resume online, something I encourage anyone planning on attending to do. A database of all resumes submitted this way get sent out to all employers who have attended. The deadline is January 10th.
For any questions you may have about the event, feel free to contact Rutgers Career Services at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 732-932-7287 prior to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 6.
